Full Lot Description
Early George III silver pedestal cream jug, of typical baluster form with punch beaded rim above alternating beaded and fluted motifs, and scratch engraved 'J T to M T 1769', with leaf capped double scroll handle. Hallmarked London 1767, maker's mark a little distorted, probably SM. Height to handle 10cm, weight 2.68ozt (83.5g).

Condition Report
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, and scratches, commensurate with age and use
- Heavier patches of tarnishing to some areas, with a little blackening and dried polish residues
- Some minor surface dints and nicks
- Some flattening/ loss of detail to areas of the decoration
- Further engraved initial on one side
- Possible solder repairs around joins of handle, and minor rim splits either side of the handle
- Slight knocks around edge of foot
- Hallmarks located below the rim to one side of the handle, these partly rubbed and distorted
