General Strike Service Medal 1926, for the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company, bronze medal by E Gillick, helmeted figure of Britannia seated left, rev. three female figures standing holding two locomotives, 51mm (BHM 4210; E 2003), in case of issue with original Royal Mint posting box labelled to B Harwood and with a pro forma letter dated January 1927 from Josiah Charles Stamp, President of the LMSR Executive. Extremely fine, scarce with letter and box.
