Full Lot Description
A Victorian silver tea caddy, of oval form with stipple engraved borders, lobed band to lower body, and slightly domed flush hinge lid. Hallmarked Henry Stratford, Sheffield 1882. Maximum length 11.8cm, height to finial 13cm, weight 9.07ozt (282.2g).

Condition Report
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches, commensurate with age and use
- General tarnishing all over with some darker spots, and a little blackening and residues of dried polish to some areas and crevices
- Some minor surface dints, bashes, and nicks all over
- Some surface rubbing and loss of detail to the stipple engraved borders
- Flush hinged lid in good working order and closes neatly
- Interior with some heavier staining, and impressions from hallmarks seen to base
- Good clear hallmarks to base with minor rubbing; further lion passant inside lid
