As we enter 2018, the first Antique & Modern Jewellery sale of the year, which takes place on Thursday 18th January is sure to go down a treat. There are many incredible pieces of jewellery in the sale, including from designer brands such as Cartier and Bulgari. Interestingly, there are some unique pieces of jewellery in the sale, depicting animals and other items, all offering different qualities.
Lot 62 in the sale is a Cartier pendant depicting a strawberry. It has beautiful leaf crown and an oval-shape surmount. The pendant is estimated at £550 – £650.
Lot 335 in the sale is a diamond and gem-set bird brooch, designed as a swallow, with single-cut diamond wings and circular-shape ruby eye, to the woven nest and cultured pearl eggs. Its diamond weight is estimated at 0.15ct., its length 5.6cms, and weight 8.8gms. This beautiful item is estimated at £400 – £600.
Lot 352 in the sale is an 18ct gold diamond and enamel tiger brooch. Designed as a textured tiger, with single-cut diamond eyes, along with black enamel stripes, white enamel chest and red enamel mouth. Hallmarks for Edinburgh, 1987. Length 6.8cms. Weight 15.3gms. It is estimated at £550 – £650.
