A stunning single-stone diamond ring received 72 bids and sold for a total of £16,588 yesterday.
Smashing its auction estimate of £4,000 - £6,000, the desirable piece of jewellery was the top lot in our 26th September Jewellery sale.
The Ring

The lot is one of the highest ever prices achieved for a single item of jewellery in one of our timed, online-only sales.
Eight separate bidders competed for the ring, which featured as Lot 296 in the sale.
It was accompanied by a reputable laboratory report.
Measuring 4.3gms, the ring was in an overall good condition. It sold for a hammer price of £13,000 (£16,588 including fees).
