An extensive private collection full of Art Nouveau styles, desirable silver and historic antiques, with items based on Émile Gallé is set to go under the hammer in the upcoming two-day Interiors: Antiques, Silver & Collectables sale on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th December 2018. The impressive private collection of Art Nouveau style glass lamps also includes eye catching examples in the style of Daum Nancy and Le Verre Francais. The full assortment comprises of over 300 lots and has an estimated value of £100,000.
A team of specialists from Fellows travelled to inspect the collection in situ before it was shipped across Europe to the UK. The full range of items have been beautifully laid out in our Birmingham saleroom in preparation for viewing days. Many of the items feature a similar, distinctive design which will be a draw to admirers of Art Nouveau.
The items include a large Gallé style overlaid, etched and cut-glass table lamp, estimated at £4,000 – £5,000. Furthermore, a reproduction Galle Art Nouveau style overlaid and cut-glass vase, estimated at £2,000 – £3,000, is another highlight. It is one of the most alluring antique collections to go under the hammer at Fellows. Furthermore, there are many other in-demand antiques alongside the European collection such as an Art Deco silvered bronze figure signed E Jensen, and a large Bontems singing bird cage automata.
Kevin Jackson, Senior Specialist in Antiques & Fine Art, said: “We are delighted to be showcasing this magnificent private collection of items.
