The race is on for a limited edition Michael Schumacher Omega watch which is set to go under the hammer at Fellows Auctioneers. The limited edition Speedmaster, number 2656 of 5555 ever made, was designed to commemorate Schumacher’s fifth Formula One world title in 2002. The watch includes black and white racing markers in the dial, with Schumacher’s name and signature on the back. Featuring as Lot 115 in the Luxury Watch Sale, the watch has an estimate of £1,200 - £1,800 in the 15th February Luxury Watch Sale.

Michael Schumacher was at the top of his game in the 2002 Formula One World Championship. The esteemed racing driver finished first or second place in every race apart from the Malaysian Grand Prix. This was his fifth of seven World Drivers' Championships, and the alluring Speedmaster for sale at Fellows, which has a reference 3529.50, was designed following this famous victory.

The limited edition Omega Speedmaster Racing chronograph sports a stainless steel case with a tachymeter bezel. Reference 3529.50 and serial 58410071, the timepiece has a signed automatic calibre 1151 with a quick date set. It features a two-tone carbon fibre effect dial with luminous baton hour markers, subsidiary recorder dials to six, nine and twelve, and an outer date track. The watch is fitted to a signed stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp. Measuring 39mm, included with the lot is a box in almost unused condition and papers dated 03/10/2003.
