Purchasing information-
The inkstand is in good condition overall. There are some minor surface scratches to the whole, and a number of small dents, particularly to the edges. There are some patches of discolouration. The lid is quite battered both inside and out. On the inside it is very scuffed. The hinge works well and the lid fits properly. The inside of the stand is stained and crusty. The glass liner has a crack in it and is stained with ink. The base is showing signs of wear. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but still mostly legible, although the sponsor's mark is indistinct. The top of the lid is engraved with an 'R', which again is rubbed but still clear.
