Purchasing information
The tray is in good condition. There are surface scratches and shallow dents to the whole. There are two large patches of discolouration: on the top on the right hand side; and underneath in a panel down the middle. There is a split in the silver on the edge of the tray, and a build-up of solder underneath it where it seems a repair has been attempted. The central cartouche appears to have had a piece of a silver applied over the top, possibly to cover an engraving. On the underside of the cartouche is a stamp which reads 'MAPPIN BROTHERS 66 CHEAPSIDE. E. Co. 220 REGENT St. Wv. [?]', and the number '322550 [?]'. The hallmark is clear and unrubbed.
