Condition Report

Edwardian twin inkwell of rectangular form with front dip pen rest and gadrooned borders. Length measures 5 inches (12.5cm). Hallmarked W.H. Sparrow Birmingham 1903.

Purchasing information
    The inkwell has general scratches and marks to the whole, the item is also heavily tarnished, also with remnants of old polish. The inkwell has been filled. There are a few small shallow dents around the body if the piece, along with some deeper scratches. One hinge is a little more loose than the other allowing more sideways movement , one hinge does not sit flat. The interior of the inkwell has previously been gilded but this has now worn. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
