Condition Report

An Edwardian ornate opal and diamond circular brooch, comprising of a central old European cut diamond surrounded by six heart shape opals with an outer open work border set diamonds and further heart shaped opals. Estimated total diamond weight - 0.40cts. Diameter of brooch - 2.9cms.

Purchasing information
    The brooch is in generally good condition, the setting is generally tarnished. The opals are in good condition, with a great play of colour displaying blues, greens and pinks. The diamonds are all quite bright, the claws may need assessing. There is a screw back panel to the back of the brooch, it may have been a detachable piece from a tiara etc. The bar and catch are secure.
