Condition Report

An early 20th century punch bowl, part vertical, part oblique fluting of the base and lower bowl, terminating in a shaped edge with applied scroll and shell boarder, diameter 12 inches (30cm), weight 48.8ozt (1520grams). Hallmarked Skinner & Co, London 1914.

    General wear and tear, surface scratches, areas of tarnishing and remnants of polish, scratches and marks to the whole of the body, areas of pitting, some scratches are deeper than others, in a few places the applied boarder is coming away from the body, also some areas the applied decoration is worn completely through showing holes, the gage of the silver to the main body is quite flexible mainly due to the size of the bowl, although the base is heavier it wobbles slightly on its feet. Hallmarks are located on the outside rim, the makers mark is a little rubbed but all other are clearly legible.
