Condition Report

A pair of late Victorian silver candlesticks of the columns of oval form with fluted and reeded detail, hallmarked Hawksworth, Eyre & Co. Ltd Sheffield, the date letter indistinct to one and very rubbed to the other, probably 1899, the detachable sconces with a different makers' mark Cooper Brothers & Sons, also hallmarked Sheffield but no date letter, height measures 10 inches (25.5cm).

Purchasing information
    The pair of candlesticks have general scratches and marks, remnants of old polish and a little tarnishing , there are small dints and bumps, the seam shows some wear in areas, a possibly repair to each of the columns, as already mentioned in the description the sconces may not be original. The hallmarks to the base are rubbed but legible.
