Victorian silver trophy cup.

Description

Condition Report

Victorian silver trophy cup with slender knopped stem leading to a spreading circular base, the main cup and foot engraved with trailing foliage and with beaded detail to the stem and foot rim, the whole fitted on an ebonised base with plain presentation plaque. Cup hallmarked Sheffield 1879 (maker's mark obscured). Height including base measures 11 inches (28cm).

Purchasing information
    The cup displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The ebonised base looks to have been lacquered and displays some obvious areas of deterioration. The plaque is not hallmarked or stamped. The hallmarks to the body of the cup are clear and legible, makers mark distorted.
