Edwardian silver shell butter dish and Victorian silver butter knife

Condition Report

Edwardian silver butter dish modelled as a shell, on three ball feet, hallmarked W & C Sissons, London 1903; together with a silver butter knife with Albany pattern handle, hallmarked London 1895. Gross combined weight 2.58 ozt (80.44 grams).

Purchasing information
    The butter dish displays general wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. There are light surface marks and scratches and some minor nicks/dints. There are two visible rim splits in the metal. Hallmarks are clear and legible. The knife displays general surface marks, scratches, tarnishing, minor nicks and some wear to the knife edge and point. There is a very small discoloured patch on the reverse of the knife. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
