Condition Report

A late 19th century 18ct gold,ruby and diamond snake ring.The circular-shape ruby and old-cut diamond head, with single-cut diamond eyes, overlapping the coiled body and tail. Weight 4.8gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in poor to fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond weight 0.08ct. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. The single-cut diamond eyes are a later addition or repair with a large area of sold solder visible. Please see important notices in the back of the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The ruby is a deep, slightly purplish red hue with large inclusions. The ring is slightly squashed, into an oval-shape. Ring size R.
