Condition Report

A late 19th century diamond, ruby and seed pearl crescent brooch. The old-cut diamond crescent to the similarly-cut diamond star with circular-shape ruby and seed pearl rays. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Length 4.5cms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair to good with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The diamonds appear well matched bright and lively with some surface abrasion, individual size and setting prevents accurate colour/clarity grade assessment. The rubies show a pinkish red hue, medium tone, fairly well saturated. Please see importance notices at front of catalogue for coloured stones, fair conditio with minor nibbles and small chip to table and side facet. facets. Cultured pearls possible later replacements.
