Condition Report

A late 19th century 18ct gold micro mosaic brooch. Of circular outline, the tesserae depicting two swans in a pond, with bullrushes and a red sky, to the cannetille surround. Diameter 3.4cms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The micro mosaic has significant segments of tesserae deficient to the sky and one of the swans, with small areas deficient elsewhere. The mosaic is backed in base metal, with the surround only in 18ct gold. Total weight 11.7gms. The clasp is bent, the brooch cannot be worn at present.
