Condition Report

A selection of five gem-set rings. To include an opal single-stone ring, an amethyst single-stone ring, a cultured pearl single-stone ring, together with two 9ct gold paste rings. Hallmarks for Chester, 1931 and Birmingham, 1938. Total weight 7.4gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. The opal is loose in the setting with a white body colour and moderate play-of-colour predominately showing greens and blues. The opal is heavily abraded. The amethyst is a pale light purple with weak saturation and good clarity there are light nick chips and abrasion. The cultured pearl has a slightly creamy white body colour with good lustre showing a pink overtone, with a good condition skin. The single paste is a bright and vivid dark red with good saturation, and abrasion to the facet edges. The paste three stone is very heavily abraded.
