Condition Report

An early 20th century 9ct gold gem-set bracelet. Designed as a series of alternating oval-shape garnet and amethyst collets, to the brick-link spacers and partially concealed clasp. Length 19cms. Weight 14.2gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. There are acid and file marks to the clasp. Some stones are slightly out of position in the settings and may require attention. The garnets are a fairly well matched purplish-red, showing typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, that do not affect the passage of light through the stone. The amethyst are varied tones of dark to light and very light purple, with fairly good clarity showing some minor typical inclusions that can be seen with the naked eye. All stones are in good to fair condition in keeping with age, showing chips, scratches and abrasion one amethyst is more heavily abraded.
