A late 19th century Austro-Hungarian enamel and gem-set locket.

Condition Report

A late 19th century silver Austro-Hungarian enamel and gem-set locket, the enamel panel depicting a figural scene, to the enamel surround, set throughout with green beryl and pink sapphire, to the gem-set reverse and seed pearl drops. Length 6.4cms. Weight 32.7gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. The enamel is chipped with some portions deficient. The surround has a small piece on the right deficient. One seed pearl drop deficient. The green beryl is fairly well matched, with a pale yellowish green of low saturation, and typical inclusions easily visible with the naked eye. The pink sapphire have a fairly well matched slightly purplish pink, and typical inclusions easily visible with the naked eye.
