Condition Report

An early 20th century Egyptian revival plastic and paste brooch, the rectangular-shape plastic cameo, depicting the profile of a soldier, within a paste and imitation marcasite surround, to the mummy sides and suspended paste drop. Length 9cms. Weight 26.4gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Tarnishing throughout. Replacement brooch fitting, soft solder. Original surmount to the top broken off, deficient. Possible replacement jump rings and suspension loop to the pendant components, slightly different hue. Plastic cameo creamy light brown. Wear to the reddish-brown surface. Pastes brownish-yellow with swirls of brownish-red and creamy-white. Pastes in good condition with minor abrasion and some nicks.
