An early 20th century 9ct gold amethyst and split pendant. Of openwork design, the circular-shape amethyst collet trefoil, within a split pearl foliate accent scrolling surround, suspended from a fancy-link chain. Length of pendant 3.4cms. Length of chain 45cms. Total weight 6.1gms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. The surmount shows wear. The amethyst are well matched with a slightly patchy dark purple, showing typical inclusions with magnification. The split pearls have a slightly discoloured silvery tone, with fairly good skins showing some wear. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source. Pendant stamped 9ct, marks worn. Chain stamped 750.
