Condition Report

A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum ruby and diamond three-stone ring. The circular-shape ruby, with old-cut diamond sides, to the tapered shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Weight 1.7gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with general wear. Ruby pinkish-red, moderate to good colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. One inclusion is surface reaching with brown staining. Gemstone in fairly good condition with some abrasion, particularly to the facet edges. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. One with no obvious inclusions visible under magnification. One with scattered inclusions visible under magnification and a nick to the table facet. Diamonds in fairly good condition with some nibbles and nicks. Ring size K1/2. Stamped 18ct plat. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
