Condition Report

A late Victorian silver and gold diamond and gem-set butterfly brooch, circa 1880. Set with diamond points, split pearls, ruby and paste gems. One antenna and three gems deficient. Length 3.6cms. Weight 7.3gms.

    The lot is in poor to fair overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. Significant discolouration and tarnish. Base metal replacement fittings. File marks to back of legs. One antenna deficient. Three gems deficient. Many paste replacement gems. Some set at angles. Split pearls with significant wear. Some with small chips.
