Condition Report

An early 20th century 18ct gold ruby and diamond panel ring. The graduated oval-shape rubies, within a single-cut diamond surround, to the bifurcated shoulders and tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Weight 2.9gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Light scratches to the inner band. Evidence of resizing and repair to the band. Rubies well matched. Pinkish-red with moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fairly good condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the facet edges. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. Diamonds fairly bright and well matched. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Generally scattered inclusions visible under magnification, one with larger inclusions visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds in fair to good condition, some with minor abrasion, some with significant nicks and nibbles. Ring size S1/2. Stamps rubbed. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
