An early 20th century 9ct gold tourmaline and split pearl necklace. The rectangular-shape pink tourmaline collet, to the split pearl scrolling panel, with a pear-shape green tourmaline drop, suspended from a trace-link chain. Length 43cms. Weight 6.9gms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Assembled from various similarly aged components. The pink tourmaline is a bright and vivid pink, with strong saturation and typical inclusions just visible with the naked eye. The green tourmaline has a dark slightly bluish-green colour with strong saturation and good clarity. The split pearls vary slightly in tone with white, creamy white and silvery colours, showing muted lustre to good skins, two are chipped. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source. Chain stamped 9ct.
