Purchasing information
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. The pin to the brooch is a base metal replacement. The rubies are fairly well matched to each item, with a pinkish-red, some are later possible replacements in the brooch. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma. For your convenience we have applied this notice to lots which contain rubies or jadeite originating in Burma, or those of indeterminate origin. Please be advised that inability of a purchaser to import any such item into the US or elsewhere will not constitute grounds for non-payment or cancellation of the sale. The split pearls are discoloured to each due to age, some with a silvery tone some have a creamy white colouration. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
