Condition Report

A late 19th century 18ct gold opal and diamond ring. The oval and circular opal cabochon and old-cut diamond double spacer panel, within a marquise-shape surround, to the scrolling gallery and tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1898. Weight 3.7gms.

    Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Evidence of resizing. Light scratches to the inner band. Opals translucent with play-of-colour from red through to violet.
