Condition Report

Two early 20th century gold gem-set brooches. The first designed as a foliate circular panel with sapphire and diamond point floral motif, the second comprising a peridot and cultured pearl collet line within a scrolling panel. First with French assay marks. Lengths 2.7 and 2.9cms. Total weight 7.6gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Small areas of discolouration. Estimated total diamond weight less than 0.05ct. Diamonds have small chips and visible glue residue. Other gem stones have light scratches and localised abrasion to the surface. Both brooch pins possibly replacements. Sapphire brooch appears to have a high gilt finish, weight 3.3gms. Peridot brooch safety chain deficient, and stamped 15ct, weight 4.2gms.
