Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has light marking commensurate with the age of the watch and with general wear.
  • Dial has light marking with small spots of discolouration and debris present that would improve with a clean and service.
  • Hands have light and medium scratching with tarnishing visible to the luminous areas.
  • Glass has light and medium scratches that are most prominent under magnification, whilst they are visible to the naked eye they should not interfere with the day to day wearing of the watch and are commensurate with the age of the piece and general wear.
  • Bezel has light and medium scratches with dinting and some occasional nicks particularly to the outside edge.
  • Case has light and medium scratching, dinting and some nicks which are more intense to the lugs.
  • Crown currently functions correctly, the surface of the crown has some light scratching and dinting.
  • Case back is secure with light and medium scratches and dinting, deeply engraved personal dedication is present which is partially obscured by the current strap, however this appears to be too deep to polish out.
  • Third party strap is in generally good condition.
  • Pin buckle has light scratching but is in good general condition.

This lot comes with a box in used condition with moderate wear and papers to consist of a guarantee booklet dated 17.4.72.
