A selection of four mid to late 19th century gold brooches. To include a 9ct gold garnet and vacant panel memorial brooch, a 9ct gold citrine and split pearl brooch, a 9 and 15ct gold diamond point and garnet bar brooch, together with an 18ct gold agate anchor intaglio brooch. Lengths 2 to 3.5cms. Total weight 15.7gms.

Purchasing information-
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with age. Replacement pins, some base metal. Second with replacement catch, with soft solder and some scratches to the reverse. Third converted from a larger piece of jewellery, bar stamped 15C, of a similar age. Garnets in the first with some wear to the foil-backings, uneven colour appearance, fair condition with some nicks and chips. Gemstones have fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair to good condition, some with minor abrasion, some with nicks and nibbles. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones. Diamond point estimated spread weight 0.01ct, which is no indication of the actual diamond weight. Diamond point has a brownish-yellow hue, possibly due to backing. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamond in good condition with minor abrasion.
