A trench style wrist watch.

Description

Condition Report

A trench style wrist watch. Import hallmarked Glasgow 1916. Unsigned manual wind movement. White dial with Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Silver case fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 35mm.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is not currently functioning.
  • Movement has light and medium scratches and marking commensurate with the age of the watch and with wear.
  • Dial has moderate scratching and discolouration, numerals are significantly worn, debris is present to the surface. The centre of the dial has noticeable damage. There are chips missing to twelve o'clock.
  • Hands have significant scratching and deformation, damage and tarnishing is present and much of the luminous insert has broken and been removed. Seconds hand is missing.
  • Glass has light and medium scratches with some heavier examples to four. Debris is present to the inside of the glass. Circular scratches can be seen to the centre from the hands.
  • Case has light to heavy scratches across the surface with dinting and discolouration visible across the surface.
  • Crown is not currently functioning to wind the movement and is stiff when setting the time and will require attention.
  • Case back is secure with light and medium scratches and dinting.
  • Strap appears to be in generally good condition.
  • Pin buckle has light and medium scratches and dinting.
