An early 20th century 18ct gold diamond and sapphire five-stone ring. The old-cut diamond, with circular-shape sapphire and old-cut diamond sides, to the scrolling gallery and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.95ct, L-tinted colour, P1-P2 clarity. Weight 3.8gms.

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Evidence of repair and resizing to the band. Evidence of repair/re-tipping to the claws. Sapphires fairly well matched, blue with moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair condition with significant surface abrasion. Diamonds assessed within the limits of the mount. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.60ct. Principal diamond with inclusions scattered throughout. One outer diamond with a large chip to the pavilion. The other with large surface reaching inclusions and further scattered inclusions. Inclusions visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds in fair condition with nicks and chips. Ring size K1/2.
