Condition Report

ROLEX - a lady's Oyster Perpetual Datejust bracelet watch. Circa 1978. Reference 6917, serial 5665754. Signed automatic calibre 2030. Champagne dial with Roman numeral hour markers, date aperture to three. Fluted bezel, 18ct yellow gold case fitted to an 18ct yellow gold Jubilee bracelet with Crownclasp. 26mm. 68gms.

Purchasing information
  • The automatic movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement appears to show light scratches, marks and tarnishing, commensurate with general wear.
  • Dial appears to show discolouration to the luminous paint and areas of tarnishing around the edge of the dial.
  • Hands seem to show light pitting and tarnishing to the centre, visible under a 10x loupe.
  • Glass appears to have been replaced with plastic, which is lightly scratched.
  • Bezel currently seems to have medium scratches and pitting with several small chips to both the flutes and edge.
  • Case appears to have medium scuffs and scratches, the majority of which should polish out, with two more distinct scratches.
  • Crown currently shows medium scratches, tarnishing and small chips to the edges.
  • Case back seems to display medium scuffs and scratches, the majority of which should polish out, with areas of light pitting. A noticeable chip is present to the case edge.
  • Bracelet appears to have multiple light scuffs and scratches with slight tarnishing between the links. Six links of the bracelet appear to be non-original and not Rolex. They are tarnished, chipped and bear several dents to the backs.
  • Bracelet does not seem to be stretched.
  • Clasp currently displays multiple light scuffs and scratches, with areas of pitting and tarnishing consistent with the clasp being regularly closed.
  • Bracelet measures approximately 16cm including the case. This lot does not come with a box or papers.
