An early 20th century 9ct gold split pearl and sapphire buckle bracelet. Of flexible design, the mesh strap with chain edging, to the circular-shape sapphire and split pearl buckle. Length 20cms. Weight 18.3gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Some bend and kinks to the mesh. Evidence of repair with some solid areas. The sapphires are well matched for colour with a medium blue of strong intensity, and fairly good clarity showing typical inclusions under magnification. The split pearls are well matched with discolouration due to age, and peeling and abrasion visible to some, one possibly later replacement. Split pearls untested for natural origin. Stamped 9ct. Rd 488112. DRGM. Maker's marks for Gourdel Vales & Co.
