Description

Condition Report

AUDEMARS PIGUET - a gentleman's Royal Oak Offshore 'Bumblebee' chronograph wrist watch. Numbered 0257, serial G78804. Signed automatic calibre 3126/3840. Black 'Tapisserie' dial with yellow Arabic numeral hour markers, outer calibrated scale, subsidiary recorder dials to six, nine and twelve, date aperture to three. Ceramic bezel, forge carbon case with PVD-coating, stainless steel case back, fitted to a signed black alligator strap with a titanium deployant clasp. 42mm. Box and papers. The 'Forged Carbon' case is a concept pioneered by Audemars Piguet and first featured in the Royal Oak Offshore Team Alinghi Edition. The mottled pattern of the case is unique to each watch as the carbon deforms under heat and pressure in an unpredictable way. The result is a watch case that is very strong but significantly lighter than steel.
