A ruby and diamond foliate necklace. The marquise-shape ruby and vari-cut diamond foliate swag, suspending a similarly gem-set asymmetric cluster, to the fancy-link back-chain and beaded panel clasp. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Length 39cms. Weight 7.3gms.

Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with general wear. Gemstones fairly well matched. Purplish-red, medium to slightly dark colour saturation. Generally fairly good clarity with typical inclusions, some with large surface reaching inclusions, durability of a few may be impaired. Diamonds fairly bright and well matched. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Minor to scattered and large inclusions, some visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds in good condition with some nicks. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
