An early 20th century Egyptianesque winged scarab brooch, the engraved carnelian scarab beetle, with diamond point eyes, to the enamel winged sides. Maker's marks for Carl Bacher. Foreign assay marks. Length 4.4cms. Weight 4.7gms.

Purchasing information-
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Stamped 'D.R.G.M. H.N.v.S, No. 144187'. Pin and clasp with Austrian assay marks. One bird eye with noticeable chips. One of the white enamel panels shows slight shallow chip to the end. Carnelian with engraved hieroglyphs to the reverse. One diamond point possible replacement. Diamonds size and setting prevents accurate assessment of size, colour and clarity.
