A star ruby ring. The oval star ruby cabochon, within a collet mount, to the grooved sides and band. Weight 8.2gms.

Purchasing information-
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The band has been repaired/resized with a line of discolouration to the back of the band. Some deeper scratches to the inside of the band, slight discolouration. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. The cabochon has uneven surface and small chips to the reverse. The ruby is a semi-translucent purplish red hue with obvious growth lines and slight discoloured areas. weak asterism in average indoor light. Displays good focused star under spot light with slightly wobbly arms. Approximate dimensions of star ruby: 9.1mms by 7.7mms, by 5.3mms deep. Ring size O 1/2.
