A George III silver mustard pot.

Condition Report

A George III silver mustard pot of plain oval outline with reeded border detail, plain oval thumb piece to the hinged cover and further reed decoration to the flat loop handle, with a blue glass liner. Hallmarked Robert Hennell I, London 1789. Height measures 2 1/8 inches (5.5 cm), weight 3.72 ozt (115.8 grams).

Purchasing information
    The mustard pot appears in fair overall condition, displaying general wear including surface scratches, nicks, contact marks and tarnishing in keeping with the age and use. Some slight dints/bumps, mainly visible to the underside. The hinged lid appears in good working order, possible repair at some stage. The hallmarks and maker's marks are clear and legible, also maker's mark and lion passant struck to the lid, some slight rubbing to these. Some quite large rim chips to the glass liner.
