A Victorian silver mounted claret jug.

Condition Report

A mid-Victorian silver mounted claret jug, the cylindrical clear glass form with a spreading bulbous base and the silver mount embossed with trailing fruit and foliage and satyr mask motifs, with a crested shield shape thumb rest surmounted with a rampant lion and a naturalistically moulded handle. Hallmarked Robert Harper, London 1860. Maximum height measures 10 1/4 inches (26 cm).
