A mid 19th century gold garnet and ruby hinged cuff. Designed as two twin griffin heads, each with garnet eyes and ruby collar, to the scrolling foliate engraved bangle. Inner diameter 5.3cms. Weight 37.5gms.

Purchasing information-
The lot is in good overall condition with scratches in keeping with general wear. Safety chain probable later replacement, base metal. There is an additional loop near one of the safety chain terminals. General discolouration to the heads. Small, shallow dents to one side of one of the griffin masks and few of the segments of the bangle. The two inward-facing garnet eyes show significant abrasion. The rubies are a well matched slightly purplish red hue. Rubies with minor nicks and moderate abrasion. Approximate inner diameter at rest 5.3cms, opening to approximately 8.5cms.
