An early 20th century 18ct gold ruby and diamond five-stone ring. The three graduated circular-shape rubies, with single-cut diamond intervals, to the openwork gallery and tapered band. Partial hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 3.1gms.

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Evidence of resizing and repair/alteration to the band. Some possible replacement stones. Some possible replacement synthetic rubies. Evidence of repair/re-tipping to some of the claws. Rubies vary slightly in hue. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Rubies in fair to good condition with abrasion and nicks. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. One in good condition with minor abrasion, the other chipped. Ring size O.
