An early 20th century 15ct gold diamond and split pearl brooch. Of heart-shape outline, the old-cut diamond, within a split pearl foliate panel. One split pearl deficient. Estimated diamond weight 0.10ct. Length 2.6cms. Weight 6.6gms.

    Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with age. Replacement pin. Later/additional base metal safety chain with significant discolouration and soft solder to the surmount. Diamond bright. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Minor inclusions visible under magnification. Diamond in good condition with some nicks. Split pearls creamy colour, fairly good skins with some wear and surface blemishes. Fairly good lustre. Some possible replacements. Stamped 15ct.
