Condition Report

A George III cream jug, the bulbous body profusely engraved with floral scrolls, scalloped rim, scrolling handle and standing on three shell mounted hoof feet. Hallmarked London 1796. Height measuring 5 inches (13 cm), weight 7 ozt (218 grams).

    The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Good overall condition. The interior has been re-gilded. The engraving is likely to be a later addition. Hallmarks to the underside somewhat rubbed and slightly spurious in size. Maker's mark indistinct.
