Condition Report

A late 19th century gold diamond memorial brooch. The old-cut diamond and cannetille surround, with arranged hair and split pearl back panel. Estimated diamond weight 0.07ct. Length 4.2cms. Weight 15.4gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair to poor. There are scratches and areas of repair to the brooch. Some of the sphere detail has broken off and there are visible holes to the surround, there are areas of solder repair visible. The diamond is bright, there are some inclusions easily visible with magnification. The centre panel is loose. The back arranged hair panel is in fairly good condition, there are areas of visible dirt and dust. The back pin and catch is secure.
