Condition Report

A mid 19th century enamel fraternity pin. The pin is for the Delta Kappa Epsilon chapter that was located at the City College of New York, the society was founded at Yale college in 1844. The black and white enamel kite-shape panel, with 'Delta Kappa Epsilon' Greek letter scroll and 'New-York' lettering, within a foliate border, to the reverse with personal inscription 'Arthur M Lee, N, Class of 62'. Length 3cms. Weight 4.3gms. Mentioned in a New York Times article published on January 3, 1864.
