A late 19th century gold enamel mourning brooch. The oval woven hair panel, within a black enamel 'In Memory Of' scrolling surround, to the reverse with personal inscription 'G. M. Obt. Oct 14 1879'. Length 3.5cms. Weight 12.8gms.

Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Some scratches to the reverse. Replacement pin. Enamel in good condition with some nicks. Replacement catch, minimal soft solder visible. Weight 12.8gms.
