An early 20th century sapphire crescent brooch. The graduated oval-shape sapphire curved line, with tapered bar terminals. Length 2.3cms. Weight 3.5gms.

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Would recommend attention to all settings as some claws deficient.
  • One of the bar ends is misshaped.
  • Replacement pin clasp.
  • One garnet-top-doublet replacement at the end.
  • Sapphires have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges, and typical inclusions seen with magnification.
